Mi Glass holds BSI Kitemark accreditation for our toughened safety glass, toughened laminated glass and our heat soaked toughened glass.

EN12150-1:2000 Certificate number KM658201 – Thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass.  Clear, tinted and low iron toughened glass meeting Impact Class 1 (BS EN 12600)

Quality and Standards

Environmental Policy.

Mi Glass will endeavour to minimise waste, re-using and recycling materials, and using sustainable material resources, where possible; and are committed to preventing pollution. Protecting and enhancing the environment by preventing pollution is integral to our business operations and it is our policy to invest and operate in a way to ensure this is not compromised.

Specifically, we will:

  • Commit to continually improve in environmental performance;
  • Implement energy conservation measures where possible;
  • Implement the efficient use of energy, water and sustainable products and materials in future business operations development;
  • Operate at all times in accordance with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the Company subscribes;
  • Promote a positive environmental culture & consultation with employees on changes that may affect environmental impact arising from our operations;
  • Set & Review targets & objectives for environmental performance;
  • Encourage through our procurement system our suppliers to use good environmental practice;
  • Educate and train our employees regarding best practice and our environmental protection systems.

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant & appropriate to the Company operations. It shall also be subject to revision, as necessary at other times, to account for changes in environmental legislation or changes in business nature and size.

Health and Safety.

Mi Glass, regards the health and safety and welfare of the Company’ employees and those who may be affected by the Company’s activities as being of prime importance and undertakes to comply fully with the provisions of The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and any other acts that contain relevant statutory provisions, also any Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice that have been made under the Act.

To assist in meeting the obligations placed upon them, the company will continue to research the latest developments in the industry, and as a policy will purchase and install state of the art equipment that will enable the company to introduce best practice and methods of work that will minimise handling of the glass, reduce the risk to employers working on the equipment and also improve the quality of the product.

This will also improve the working conditions of all employees.

Accordingly, Mi Glass undertakes to:

Establish, maintain, audit and review a Health and Safety Management system that complies with the relevant statutory requirements.

Allocate sufficient resources to enable these aims to be met.

Develop within the Company a health and safety culture & adopt the safety principles set out within this manual.

Consult with employees.

State that each individual Director and Manager are required to take care of the health and safety of employees, and any other person who may be affected by their activities, they will be accountable for any injuries, damage or accidental loss within their area of responsibility.

State that the Company requires employees at all levels to exercise a duty of care and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves, and of any other persons who may be affected by what they do, or fail to do at work.

Require that employees co-operate in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment to enable the Company to carry out the duties or requirements imposed.

Bring this policy to the attention of all employees.

Review this policy, revise if necessary and ensure that all revisions are brought to the attention of all employees.
